Object: mountains

Reaction: wonder, awe, admiration, adventurousness

I found myself attracted to things of wonder. Small details in objects, decorative objects, and nature caught my eye the most. I also was able to find many things that stress me out in some way. I think I could utilize the wonder and awe brought on by larger objects (like the mountains and the tree) to intimidate viewers of an art project. Also the small details of the two necklaces could inspire small details in a project that might create wonder and admiration in the viewer. I think Patrick Dougherty uses the intimidating element of trees and large buildings to his advantage–he makes large sculptures out of a wondrous element and juxtaposes his sculptures with other wondrous objects.
